Group On a Diet? pics
Today had to be quick because dinner was in the oven. So here goes...
5 minute warm up on the bike
3 x's 1 minute plankes on the ball
3 sets of 15 leg lifts
3 sets of 40 crossovers
stretching the hamstrings
Keep in mind yesterday I walked a 5K on cement and I'm still a little sore.
I made it home just in time for dinner!
This morning started at 6:30am. It probably should've started earlier though since we were running late. The people who were driving were on their way! Ahhhhh. I just got dressed, got the girlie up, brushed my teeth, washed my face and tried to get some snacks together.
Then all of the sudden, they got here so we all got in their Sequoia and drove away. Then we had to turn around because I forgot the numbers that we were supposed to wear. Then it started to rain. Darn it.
Once the first wave began, Izzy started getting cranky. It was cold so that was part of it. I put my coat on her because she didn't really like the blankets I brought for her. She wouldn't get in the stroller and there were too many people for me to have her walk. It was just awful. She didn't want to do anything except be held and there was no way I was going to be able to go 3.5 miles carrying her.
It was fine once we were done. Izzy did have some good times. She ran for a while...
I've decided that next year I'm going to run it because there will have to be less crying. So, it will get done quicker!!!!
I don't particularly enjoy exercising, but I like classes more than figuring it all out myself. How about you?
Last night I did Boot Camp. This is at my gym and is lifting weights and cardio rolled into one class! It's tough to say the least, but I really like it...
Of course it begins with a warm up and then we do some squats with no weights.
Then we do sit ups and push ups to gauge how we're doing between classes. I was ok. I only did about 5 push ups on my toes, but continued on my knees like a champ!
We did a bunch of squats and lunges and then lots of arm work. I used a 25 lb bar to do the bench press and a 10 lb bar to do the triceps. I definitely pushed myself, but not to the point of having to lay down and put my feet up. I kept up with the pace, but was very grateful when it was time for the cool down!
Yesterday I was still a little under the weather, but Sunday is our big 5K walk for St. Patty's Day so I had to get my arse to the gym.
208 calories burned
Level 3 (the incline)
Speed (average) 3.5
Then I just did a little stretching and went home to shower. I ate really ok yesterday. I was going to say good, but then I remembered that it was my bosses b-day and I ate some chocolate cake.
